world’s most beautiful 3D printer: colors and micron precision.

you may suppose I’m pitching it strong a bit. Well, maybe I am, but just look at this, and we’ll compare it to other 3D printers:

bot

the only one possible to horn in is the FORM 1 (I’m sorry about comparing every printer with the FORM, but it’s the most precise and the most beautiful to date !):

photo-full

We don’t have much infos on the ProDesk3D, but a feature stands out: It is able to print in different colors without changing the leed manually. It is also as precise as the FORM 1, as they are announcing 25 micron precision, meaning you can’t even see it.

The ProDesk3D by BotObjects isn’t selling yet, as they are still in development, but I’m felling a crowndfunding campaign will likely emerge sonner than later. For Now, they only have a one page Website.

P.S: don’t forget I started a new blog here, which if you liked this kind of stuff, will likely interest you as well ;)

Welcome to my second blog :D

I recently realized my current blog didn’t have place for some of the things I want to post. this include mostly beautiful objects from great designers, but not innovative stuff like I often find onkickstarter and enjoy. Also, while I often write a lot on design4youandme, I’ll write less about these products, just a few lines, like a Pinterest. Products here will mainly come from fancy, consigndEtsy, and other website like this. Finally I want to try consignd influence sell, which correspond more to this type of objects than those find on design4youandme. I chose to name it thislookgood, as this is the first impression we have when seing a cool product. I wanted to list products we find ourselves having this kind of reactions.

voila, I hope you’ll appreciate this new blog, see you soon :D

BRCK creates a wifi hotspot with 4G or lower

I know, you can actually do the same with your iPhone. Absolutely  But the BRCK isn’t for everyday routine use. If you use your iPhone as hotspot, it usually only works in your country, or you’ll end up paying 200 000$. Really. The other solution, if your stuff needs wifi more than often, is BRCK.

BRCK

It does look a bit rough (they call it ruggedness) but hey, you know, that’s the spirit ! adventure ! rough durable stuff ! does Rambo wear louis Vuitton to kill viets ?

For the technical stuff, it can connects to devices via Wifi of course, but also ethernet, if you choose to take your 30 year old computer on a safari in Middle Africa. If you’re like everybody on this planet, you don’t.

One of the interesting feature of the BRCK is that it comes with a BRCK cloud. That means it has 16gb of super rough durable storage, that you can access while using the Wifi network created by BRCK. the open API also means you can connect to services like dropbox or else. But this is pretty useless. If you have Wifi and a computer/smartphone, you can access dropbox by these simple devices. Anyway that’s possible.

On top of these supper features, the creators of the project offer you premium software crowdmap, which they developed.

Still  not convince it could be of some use one day ? If you treavel, you’ll understand the huge potential of such a device. It costs quite a arm or two though, but check for yourself.

Limeade 18,000 mAH battery fits in your hand, and can charge your iPhone 12 times

There are many external batteries for iPhones, some in cases, some not, but except super expensive models, they can charge iPhone once or twice. Not so good. This battery aims to be at the same time huge and as small as it can possibly be.

Actually, there are three different models: 13 000, 15 600, 18 000 mAH:

But this battery isn’t dull. It actually has a few advantages you may not knew you needed.

First, it can charge two devices at a time, like your Ipad and your iPhone, basically:

It is rechargeable by 2A, meaning it can charge in about 10h, or around a night.

It has a safety flashlight, you know, just in case you’re in the middle of nowhere and the only thing you have with you is your Limeade battery. It has a charge indicator with 4 LED, not very precise, but useful to know when the battery needs to be plugged in. It also comed with a 30 pin and micro usb cable, but no lightning cable, which are used by iPhone 5 and iPads.

To finish off, here is a table which shows how many times each device can be charged:

  • Apple iPhone 4 or 5: ~12.5 times
  • Samsung Galaxy S III: ~8 times
  • Samsung Galaxy Note: ~7 times
  • Amazon Kindle Fire: ~4 times
  • Apple iPad 1 or 2: ~2 times
  • Google Nexus 4: ~8.5 times
  • Google Nexus 10: ~2 times
  • Sony PSP: ~11 times
  • Apple iPod Nano: ~171 times

As you notice, you can’t use it with you PC or mac. It’s not the right voltage. Anyway, if you want to buy this monster, hurry up, they are selling like hotcakes !!!

Energy startups Nest and Opower are members of an elite club: venture capital-backed companies that have managed to find some success building software and hardware around managing home energy consumption. Several years ago when the companies launched, they focused on very different products and business models. However, over the years the companies have moved ever closer to becoming direct competitors, and now stand in the interesting position of being two of the leading startups competing in a variety of ways to reduce consumers' home energy use.

automatic takes care of your car’s health via iPhone

Alert: USA ONLY

I don’t know how it is in Europe, as I’m not a driver myself, but in US cars, since 1996, there is a port behind the driving wheel where mechanics connect to collect data from the car, like when it had an accident, or when checking the car. that’s useful for mechanics, but why does nobody uses this port to collect and read the data in real-time ?

Mainly because devices that could read and display this data would have been huge screens, nothing practical. Now with the rencent rise of smartphones, it is possible. The Automatic is a rather small piece of hardware that connect to this port and sends it to the smartphone via bluetooth 4.0, meaning minimal battery impact.

The automatic really wants to make it right, and doesn’t stop there at all.

  • Automatics first analyzes your driving habits and warns you when you burn to much fuel for nothing/ resulting in gas savings.
  • Automatic knows where your car is, so you won’t have any trouble finding where it is in a parking lot.
  • Automatic tells you where the problem is and its nature, if a problem happens.
  • Automatic calls 911, local authorities or friends if you have an accident.

So what not to like ? There are no monthly fees, and it only costs 79$, an can save you hundred a year on gas. What are you waiting for fellow driver ? Pre-Order Now !
