There are indeed a lot of stylus in the wild, even though the guru of the main product stylus are used for didn’t found them of any use. Some of them use microwave bizarre technology to fell the pressure on the screen. Some can work on macs. Some even take the shape of a real cepillar ! And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Seems like everyone doesn’t agree on this point. You can find more great stylus here, but now let’s get to this one.
What is is selling point you might ask ? it works as a bracelet. Wear it around you wrist and use it when you want. It uses the same technique as this object, if you know it:
Now put a stylus on the two sides and here is what you got:
I don’t have any need for a stylus, but this one is just so gorgeous, I’ll buy one for display if I could. If you have any need for a stylus, well head here to get yours. Thanks for reading 🙂
the three pig houses are not made of straw, or even brick, but of the like the second house, the material being used is wood the most beautiful of the three pig houses.
Except from this silly joke, Let’s get to the point. The houses are made to create a dedicated place for three distinct objects: keys, watchs, and eyewear. The base of the house is not in wood but in rubber, available in a set of blue/orange/yellow or a set of all white.
I personally like it a lot, the fact that it’s constructible and de-constructible is a +, but the trestles can’t fit in the empty space in the middle, which could have been thought of. In the possibility of your enjoyment, you can pre-order it on kickstarter right now, or even after, for you still have more than a month to pledge.
Wood playing cards ! What kind of weird idea is that I asked myself ? But then I saw how they looked, and man, I’m not a doe-hard fan of playing cards, but these just look gorgeous:
What’s more, if you have the capital, you can purchase a complete wooden poker set:
I love poker, and playing with these chips is like… heaven ? But then I checked the price tag, and it wasn’t as jawdroping as the cards: 1250$. considering I bought the my set for 30$, this is inconsiderate. Nevertheless, I still love those cards.
I like RFID blocking wallet for protection against geek thieves, but sometimes I do also like when I can actually use them IN the wallet to. Well someone must have though of people like me when doing the Bantam wallet, because it can either stop all RIFD, one side, or even none ! How do you do that ? just insert a RIFD super-thin protection in your wallet, that is.
Of course, now that you know the secret, you can maybe adapt the idea to your own wallet, but these are the exact format of the bantam, and if it’s for protection, better be sure it protect 100%. But if you are a DIY kind of guy, try it, otherwise just go for this nice looking model, minimalist and all, only 4mm thin (not with cards in of course :p), premium quality leather from Australia.
The wallet is going to launch on indiegogo on the 3rd of April, but you can also visitJames Watson’s website for further information : JamesWatson.com.au.
wood sound is more natural than plastic, or so I’ve heard, so why not make speakers and headphones in wood like the old gramophones ? That’s the bet of a star-up on kickstarter. The company proposes four products:
the Packable Wireless System, jambox like bluetooth speakers (8h battery)
The Passive Bookshelf System, huge sedentary hi-fi speaker.
The over-ear headphones, made of solid wood, for a sharper and bigger sound (literally).
The in-ear headphones, still made of wood.
I have no doubt the sound is great, but I worry more about the actual design and manufacturing process. It seems a bit harsh and not finished, even though it looks gorgeous. As I just updated to a CEOL airplay hi-fi system, and already have a working jambox, this won’t be for me, but if you’e searching for the perfect earbuds/headphones/mobile speaker/stereo, well this could be a good solution. Head over kickstarter before it’s too late for the early birds to get yours !
You may have heard before of Jawbone. It’s the apple of speakers, just like dyson is the apple of vacuum cleaners. Man, I think those are my four favorite companies, the fourth one being leap motion. the UP is a product that was ment to be released 1 year ago, but after shipping, many devices had battery issues and stuff, so it was delayed. Now it’s coming back.
anyway, this time, it’s not an ear phone, nor a bigger jambox, but a kind of sport tracking watch, without the watch. it looks more like a wrist-watch. a neat wrist-watch. Like always with those four companies I mentioned before, Jawbone has this design and 6th sense that makes me love their product so badly I could save years to save to buy something.
that’s how it looks:
cute isn’t it ? one extremity covers a jack output, to sync it with your smartphone. Sadly there is no mac app. It works as a pedometer an alarm to remind you to move, a night mode to analyze how well you sleep, and you can even track your calories with the UP app, by taking photo and describing what you ate. you can earn rewards, just like foursquare. it’s entirely waterproof, and the new battery doesn’t seem to have the same problem as its predecesor, and lasts about a week.
why choose this pedometer instead of its competitor ? well, I think this device doesn’t look like what it really is. it really looks like a wristwatch that everyone can wear, not a huge watch with a heartbeat sensor etc. Its a luxury product, in a way. Just like I said, jawbone the apple of speakers and now pedometers too.
Before the video, I wasn’t very exited about the project. Kubi looked like a bicornuate to me. But I soon realized It was one of the object I’ll save money for, thinking about it everyday. I’m like that.
So KUBI is a robotic Ipad stand you can control from the other side of the world, a bit like the Romo, but the it is for Iphone only and can move around. But KUBI isn’t a toy: It’s a tool first designed for pros, not for amusement, that’s why the design is more sober than the romo.
The romo is controlled by the app, wich works like this:
the only downside to this app, but it is not their fault, is that the two caller need the app. You can also call with facetime, but you won’t be able to make the KUBI move by tapping the screen, but through a web browser, on another tablet or computer.
The KUbi is for the moment on indiegogo, waiting for your to back it. You can get it for 200$.
