Before the video, I wasn’t very exited about the project. Kubi looked like a bicornuate to me. But I soon realized It was one of the object I’ll save money for, thinking about it everyday. I’m like that.
So KUBI is a robotic Ipad stand you can control from the other side of the world, a bit like the Romo, but the it is for Iphone only and can move around. But KUBI isn’t a toy: It’s a tool first designed for pros, not for amusement, that’s why the design is more sober than the romo.
The romo is controlled by the app, wich works like this:
the only downside to this app, but it is not their fault, is that the two caller need the app. You can also call with facetime, but you won’t be able to make the KUBI move by tapping the screen, but through a web browser, on another tablet or computer.
The KUbi is for the moment on indiegogo, waiting for your to back it. You can get it for 200$.
At first I thought it was an entire scanner for the Iphone, but it turned out the Scandock is just a couple of lightbulbs and an Iphone holder to take photos. it seems to make better scans than IOS apps (of course), and has a great lighting treatment. However,as it costs 475$, I would definitely recommend any other PC scanners. It comes from kickstarter
I don’t know if it was meant to sound like the most popular video ever, but this object is called the Opa. It’s like a sound bar for your Ipad, because we all know how bad the speakers are. if you don’t want to invest in such a big and expensive product, you can find cheap accessories, or 3d print one by yourself, if you have a 3D printer. other folks on kickstarter did this:
Unsuccessfully, the kickstarter campaign has been stopped, by the creators of the project for obscure reasons. If you want one, stay connected to their website. The Opas used to start at 99$, which isn’t that bad, for a product that looks and fell good. Watch the video if you are interested:
try Pulse (this is actually the deskop version, you need an account to use it). here is the link if you’re on IOS. Pulsese is an RSS feed viewer that works on Ipad, Iphone, and any device with a web browser.
I’ve been using it for one year now, and that’s actually the only app on my Iphone and Ipad I know I’m not gonna delete. It displays information in a visual way, so that you can see the pic and the text with a glance. too tired to click the link ? here are a few screenshot of the Ipad vesion:
still not convinced ? well… what if I told you it sync with all your devices ? yo can have as many flux as you want ? you can also send it via email, tweet it, add it to your favori, and there is a built-in feed browser. And the design is gorgeous. I could keep on going like this all night, but for your sake I’m going to stop.
